David T. Wood, Epworth church member

David T. Wood, born Dec. 28, 1963, at Ft. Monmouth, N.J., was a resident of Seaford.  He went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019,, at the age of 55. 

He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church of Rehoboth Beach.  David worked several jobs throughout his life, including restaurant work, material handling, and home renovation with his beloved Uncle Bob.  He graduated from a GED program with 70001 Career Association.  He is the son of Sally A. Reed and brother of Regina Mae Price. He was predeceased by his grandparents, and uncle. 

He is survived by his mother her husband; his sister; his neice; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.  Dave was loved and appreciated by many friends and family for his generous spirit, sense of humor and appreciation of home cooked meals.

David often referred to the serenity prayer which he ordered his life around as follows:

“God, grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.”

The memorial service for David will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, at 2:30 p.m., at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach.
