Sussex Master Gardeners to host Day in the Garden June 27

During the June 27 UD Cooperative Extension open house near Georgetown, the public can tour more than 30 specialty gardens, attend mini workshops, talk to experts and browse a plant sale. FILE PHOTO

Sussex County Master Gardeners will host an open house from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., Saturday, June 27, rain or shine, in the demonstration garden at the Carvel Research & Education Center, 16483 County Seat Highway, west of Georgetown.

There will be children’s activities, mini workshops, a plant sale and more. To learn more, go to udel.edu/0012081.

Master Gardeners will be stationed within the one-acre garden to answer related questions. Featured specialty gardens at the center focus on a particular type of plant or growing conditions.
