Delaware Agriculture Museum decked out for holiday

A Farmer’s Christmas at the Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village in Dover continues through Saturday, Dec. 19. The event features decorated Christmas trees, decorated displays and 1890s village buildings, contests, music, crafts for children, and special demonstrations including basket weaving, chainsaw carving, blacksmithing and butter churning. Timed tickets are required for Dec. 19 with no more than 40 visitors permitted within a one-hour period. Go to agriculturalmuseum.org for more information.

The museum, located at 866 N. DuPont Highway, Dover, offers a comprehensive look at Delaware agriculture within its 38,000-square-foot exhibit halls and 5-acre 1890s village. Since its opening in August 1980, more than 550,000 people have visited the museum.
