The inaugural Delaware Beaches Songwriters Festival will present acclaimed musical artists in intimate performances and one-of-a-kind fan experiences from Thursday, Sept. 10 through Sunday, Sept. 13, at venues around Lewes, Milton and Rehoboth Beach. 

Attendees will be able to hear the artists' songs and the stories behind them, their journeys through the music industry and the inspiration behind their writing process.

Scheduled highlights include a fireside songwriters chat Sept. 10; writers' round sessions Friday and Saturday, Sept. 11 and 12; and a Rolling Stone Nashville Now podcast interview and full performance from a surprise artist Sunday, Sept. 13. Nashville Now is hosted by Joseph Hudak, Rolling Stone deputy editor, and co-hosted by Steve Jawn, who co-founded DBSF with Pat O'Connor.

Headlining the Sept. 11 evening show will be West Virginia's Davisson Brothers Band, whose sound combines country, Southern rock and Appalachian roots music with an energetic live performance. At other venues, Nashville songwriters Shawn Lacy and Crystal Rose will also share their talents, along with acclaimed songwriters and musicians from music communities including Nashville, New York, Philadelphia, Austin and Los Angeles. An afterparty will spotlght E.G. Vines and festival songwriters.

Jawn said, “As a music video director, I’ve been lucky enough to work side by side with so many amazing country, Americana, pop and rock artists in the Nashville scene. I’ve always dreamed of bringing a little bit of the Nashville songwriting experience to the Delaware coast."
