Delaware Electric Cooperative will host its annual meeting Tuesday, Aug. 11, in Memorial Hall at the Delaware State Fairgrounds, Harrington.

Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by an ice cream social. Members will have the opportunity to browse educational displays highlighting cooperative programs, services and operations. The business meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

The event provides members with an opportunity to meet cooperative employees and learn about the programs and services that support the more than 123,000 members served by the co-op. 

CEO and President Rob Book will update members about DEC's efforts to protect members from the impacts of hyperscale data centers, review the cooperative's response to the historic February blizzard and provide an update on how DEC continues to offer electric rates that are among the most affordable in the region. Members will also have an opportunity to ask questions and hear directly from cooperative leadership.
