Delaware Red Men and Pocahontas support Alzheimer’s Association

August 14, 2018

The Delaware Red Men and Pocahontas held their 23rd Annual Car, Truck and Tractor Show May 12 and had a beautiful day for the event.

The National Charity of the Improved Order of Red Men and Pocahontas is Alzheimer’s disease research, and this event has raised almost $300,000 that was donated to the Alzheimer’s Association in Chicago. The show supports local programs and services in Sussex County as well by donating to the Georgetown office. Since 2002, this event has raised more than $52,000 for the local office.

A check in the amount of $3,000 was presented Aug. 1 to Jamie Magee, association program coordinator, at First State Chevrolet, which has supported this event monetarily as well as providing space for the show. Their support is greatly appreciated.
