The Delaware Watercolor Society held an opening reception at the Gallery at Nassau Valley Vineyards and Winery July 5. This was a juried show, with 29 artists having their work displayed. Awards were presented for the top three, and also three merit awards.

Taking home first-place with her painting, “The Sharing Plate,” was Wendy Leddy. Not present were second-place winner Steve Cole and third-place winner Ruth Anne Kaufman.

Kathy Casey was happy they let acrylic and oils in the show. Casey is shown with her acrylic-on-board, “Proud Gull.”
Bill Shearer stands next to his watercolor titled “Thom’s Tree.” Shearer’s neighbor Thom cut down a tree and Sheraer found beauty in the colors and texture.
