Delaware Department of Transportation Secretary Jennifer Cohan addressed the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce Feb. 12, and she said it’s going to take a governmental leap of faith for Delaware to advance its transportation technology to match the state’s growing needs.

Chamber President Carol Everhart asked Cohan to speak after she had heard the secretary’s presentation at the Today and Tomorrow Conference in October. Much like before, Cohan talked about how Sussex County is set to receive $1 billion worth of infrastructure investment over the next six years, how the state has been in discussions with Elon Musk’s The Boring Company about bringing the Hyperloop to Delaware, and how driving habits of millenials and increasing online purchasing by consumers are also changing the future of transportation in Delaware.
