The Sussex County Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. fundraising committee will hold two holiday sales this year to support its service and education initiatives. Both events will feature homemade baked goods, artificial and fresh wreaths, poinsettias, homemade soups to go, gift baskets and much more. The first sale will take place from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 27, at Genesis Rock of Love Christian Ministries, 18 SW Front St., Milford. The second sale will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, at First State Community Action, 308 N. Railroad Ave., Georgetown.
As the community celebrates the holiday spirit, Delta Sigma Theta invites community members to come out to support the sale activites.
Founded in 1913 on the campus of Howard University, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. promotes academic excellence, provide scholarships, provides support to the underserved, educates and stimulates participation in the establishment of positive public policy, and highlights issues and provides solutions for problems in local chapter communities.
