Dennis R. Liphart passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 3, 2026.

Born July 30, 1945, in Johnstown, Pa., Dennis was the beloved son of the late Ray and Betty Liphart. He lived in Silver Spring, Md., before relocating to Rehoboth Beach with his longtime companion, Michael Moshos, in 1998. Together, they made Rehoboth Beach their cherished home.

Dennis was known for his exceptional eye for interior decorating and design. He had a remarkable talent for transforming ordinary spaces into something truly beautiful and special. His creativity and vision were evident in everything he touched.

A gifted hairstylist, Dennis owned and operated Dennis Coiffures in Silver Spring, Md., where he spent many years building lasting relationships with his clients and earning a reputation for both his skill and warm personality.

Family meant everything to Dennis. He especially treasured family beach weeks, where laughter, good food and cherished memories were always in abundance. He loved to cook and was known for his generosity and hospitality, and especially for making everyone who entered his home feel welcome.

Dennis is survived by his sister, Donna Wolford (the late James); his brother, Del Liphart (Barbara); his nieces, Tracey Merchant and Lisa Liphart; his nephews, Mark Wolford and Sean Liphart; his great-nephews, Eric, Kevin (Alana) and Matthew Merchant; his great-great-niece, Georgia; his great-great-nephew, Jeremy; and many other beloved extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by his longtime partner, Michael Moshos. The Moshos family was a big part of Dennis’ life, and his family is grateful to them for their continued love and support over the many years since Michael's loss.

Dennis will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His kindness, creativity, generosity, laughter and unwavering love for family will forever be remembered.
