Milton-area industrial rezoning not on Sussex P&Z agenda

Commissioners reschedule second meeting to Thursday, Nov. 21

Although scheduled in a public notice published Oct. 18, an application filed by Reed Farms LLC to rezone a 67-acre parcel from AR-1, agricultural-residential, to HI-1, heavy industrial, near the Gravel Hill Road/Route 16 intersection near Milton has been removed from the Thursday, Nov. 14, Sussex County Planning and Zoning Commission agenda.

On the agenda is a public hearing on a rezoning application from AR-1 to C-2, medium commercial district, filed by Preston Dyer for a 2-acre parcel at 28855 Lewes-Georgetown Highway near Cool Spring. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the county administration building, 2 The Circle, Georgetown. See a complete agenda at sussexcountyde.gov. Meetings are broadcast live on the county website. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the commission has rescheduled its second meeting of the month to 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 21. An agenda will be posted Thursday, Nov. 14.
