Dewey Beach police seeking information on stabbing

Two persons hurt in fight at Northbeach

Dewey Beach Police Department responded to a report about a fight at Northbeach restaurant in Dewey about 1:05 a.m., May 15. When officers arrived, they discovered that a stabbing had occurred, Dewey Beach Police Sgt. Clifford Dempsey stated.

Two male victims were taken to Beebe Healthcare in a private vehicle and were ultimately transported to ChristianaCare, where they are in stable condition, Dempsey said. Suspects, described as two black males in their early 20s, fled the scene in an unknown direction, Dempsey said.    

Dewey Beach Police Department was assisted by Delaware State Police, Rehoboth Beach and Lewes police departments. Dewey Beach police ask that anyone who has any video, photos or any other information about the incident to call Dewey Beach Police Department at 302-227-1110 or Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-2333.
