Dewey Goes Pink donates to Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition

December 29, 2019

Dewey Goes Pink organizers donated $166,000 in proceeds from the October event to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.

Steve “Monty” Montgomery of The Starboard and Adam Howard of the Body Shop launched the fundraising event nine years ago after Montgomery’s mother passed away from the disease. Montgomery said Howard lost his mother to breast cancer just a few weeks ago.

In nine years, Dewey Goes Pink has donated $650,000 to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.

Gathering at The Starboard for the check presentation are Francesca Vogel, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition; Connie Holdridge, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition; Montgomery; Howard; Sue Murray, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition; Sue Ryan, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition; and holding the check is Meridith Rothstein, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.
