Diana ‘Diane’ Outlaw, Special Olympics athlete

Diana ‘Diane’ Outlaw of Milton transitioned from labor to reward Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at Beebe Healthcare, Lewes. Born Nov. 11, 1959, at Beebe Medical Center, she was the daughter of Mrs. Queenie V. Morris Lewis of Milton and the late Mr. Robert James Outlaw.

She was employed by the Salvation Army Developmental Disabilities Program, Millsboro, and was a participant in the Delaware Special Olympics programs. Diane was formerly affiliated with the Kent-Sussex Industries (KSI) and Easter Seals program.

Diane accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a member of Christ's Church, Harbeson, where she served faithfully until her recent illness.

In addition to her mother, Diane is survived by her loving and devoted family: brother Isacce Morris of Dover, sister Betty Trammell of Milton, stepfather Joseph Lewis of Milton; sister-in-love Barbara Banks of Magnolia, brother-in-love Owen Lans of Milton, niece Brittany Trammell of Milton (Mikkail Stephens), and nephews Leon Johnson (Kyla) of Orlando, Fla., and Derrick Morris (Latasha) of Wilmington. She is also survived by five great-nieces, two great-nephews; and two uncles, McKinley Outlaw and Alfonza Outlaw (Alice) of Machipongo, Va.

The Celebration of Diane's Life will be held at noon, Friday March 2, at Conley's United Methodist Church, 33106 Jolyns Way, Lewes. Viewing will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the church. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery, 500 W 4th St., Lewes, immediately following the funeral.
