Diana Watkins-Taylor, avid gardener

October 25, 2021

Diana Watkins-Taylor, 64, of Laurel passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 2021, at Tidal Health Nanticoke, Seaford.  She was born Sept. 9, 1957, in Seaford, daughter of the late to Harley G. Watkins Jr. and Madeline Watkins.  She was also predeceased by her husband Charles W. Taylor in 2011.

For many years she worked as an inspector for the DuPont Company. Later she worked for many years in the meat department at the Seaford Save A Lot grocery store. However, most of her time was devoted to taking care of her parents during their later years.  She was an avid gardener and always had a meticulous display of floral delights around her yard. Also, shopping was a treat that she could be found doing in her free time. However, spending time with her new grandson Scott Jr. brought her the most enjoyment.

She is survived by her son, Scott N. Williams-Watkins and wife Megan and their son Scott of Laurel; a brother, Barry Wilson of Laurel; and her sister, Debbie Jason (Robert) of Nashville, Tenn.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m., at Bethel UM Cemetery.   Viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the Watson-Yates Funeral Home, a Parsell Family Funeral Home, 609 East King St., Seaford.
