Dolores A. Thompson Justice Carlisle, cherished family

Dolores A. Thompson Justice Carlisle, 69, of Lincoln passed away Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at home.

Dolores was born Aug. 5, 1952, and grew up in Coolspring (Milton) on the family farm.  She attended and graduated from Cape Henlopen High School, class of 1971.  Dolores loved and cherished her family; growing up she loved to dance and sing to all her favorite songs.  Her favorite pastimes were camping at Fort Whaley, car shows (showing their antique cars), being in parades with them, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She had various jobs throughout her life, homemaker, school bus driver, poultry grower, pharmacy tech at Walmart and ended her career at Nemours in Milford.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Thompson; mother, Eileen Reynolds; stepfather, Randall Reynolds; first husband, William E. Justice; second husband, Clifton Carlisle; and daughter-in-law, Stacey Justice.

She is survived by her sons, Rick Justice (Jenna) of Lincoln and Raymond Justice (Stephanie) of Milford; sister, Christine Webb (Donald) of Milton; brother, Ray A. Thompson (Teresa) of Dover; five grandchildren, Tori Eskridge (Shane), Abby Justice, Trent Justice, Autumn Justice and Carissa Justice; one great-granddaughter, Remi Eskridge; sister-in-law, Vicki Tribout (Mike); many special cousins, nieces and nephews, and special in-laws.

A visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 28, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., at the Ellendale Fire Hall, 302 Main St., Ellendale.  A Celebration of life will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by food and fellowship.
