Don’s Tree Farm team members are excited about the 2019 Christmas season, which will begin Black Friday, Nov. 29. Hours are 2 to 6 p.m., Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday to Sunday, at 6396 Hickman Road in Greenwood.

Families can stroll the fields of Christmas trees to pick the perfect one or select from hundreds of popular pre-cut Fraser firs ranging from 5 feet to 12 feet tall.

Also available will be Fraser fir wreaths, pre-decorated and undecorated, along with handmade swags and more. In addition to round wreaths, there will be square-, candy cane- and Christmas tree-shaped wreaths.

Fresh-cut trees arrive daily during the Christmas season so customers can be guaranteed the freshest selection any day.  Daily fresh-cut tree varieties include Fraser fir, Douglas fir, Canaan fir and Concolor fir.

Santa will be at the farm from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., every Saturday. There is no fee to visit with Santa and take a photo.

A new train display will be ready for viewing Black Friday. Lionel electric train sets are available for purchase.

Again this year, Don’s Tree Farm is partnering with Georgetown Presbyterian Church to collect new mittens, gloves, hats and scarves for Sussex County children in need. Shoppers are encouraged to bring a donation to help those in need stay warm this winter.
