Donald Lee O'Day, retired iron worker

Donald Lee O'Day, 76, of Georgetown, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, at his home. He was born in Bridgeville Nov. 16, 1940, son of the late Alfred B. and Hazel J. O'Day.

Mr. O'Day was an iron worker, and was a part of the union for many years. He was a proud member of the NRA, the Delaware State Sportsmen's Association and the Bridgeville Rifle Range. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and target shooting.

In addition to his parents, Mr. O'Day was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina O'Day. He is survived by his brother, Ronnie O'Day of Greenwood; his sister, Fay O'Day Burket of Seaford; and many other extended family members.

Viewing will be held Thursday, Nov. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws St., Bridgeville. Service and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. O'Day's name to The Delaware State Sportsmen's Association, P.O. Box 94, Lincoln, DE 19960.
