Dover AFB plans air show, open house Sept. 13-15

Air Force 2nd Lt. Cortney Porter addressed Dover Capital City Rotary Club members at its April 25 luncheon meeting. She spoke about the planned Thunder Over Dover Air Show and Open House slated for Sept. 13-15 with performances beginning at noon.

Porter is a force support officer and a member of the Open House Air Show Planning Committee; she is in charge of performer and volunteer hospitality. The event will include a large array of static displays as well as performances from civilian acts, warbirds, parachute teams, and an F-22 Raptor demonstration. “We are very excited to be able to show off our base to the community and come together for this great event,” said Porter.

The committee is seeking donations of food, snacks, water/drinks, and contributions. To volunteer or donate, contact Dawne Nickerson-Banez at 302-677-6575.
