DQ Dash proceeds donated to Go Fourth Lewes fireworks
June 22, 2022
The proceeds from this year’s DQ Dash for Fireworks May 15 benefitted the Go Fourth Lewes fireworks fund. The annual run/walk is sponsored by Dairy Queen Lewes and other Lewes-area businesses with race organization by Seashore Striders. It is the fourth year the proceeds have benefitted the fireworks. Dairy Queen owner Ashley Diehl and Seashore Striders Race Director Tim Bamforth presented a check for $8,000 to Go Fourth committee representatives Ted Becker, Russ Palmer and Betsy Reamer. Funds for the Lewes Fourth of July fireworks are raised by a broad-based community committee with donations from residents, businesses and visitors. Donations are being solicited now and contributions can be made at GoFourthLewes.org.
