Beebe Integrative Community Health will host Dr. Uday Jani for a gut health talk called The Inside View – How Microbiome and Gut Health Impacts Our Brain, at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Lewes Public Library.
Jani will offer new insights on the vital connection between brain health and microorganisms that are living in the intestine.
Virtually every system in the body is affected by the microbiome, making it essential to understand how people can naturally encourage the growth of beneficial gut bacteria. Attendees will learn how incorporating a well-balanced diet can help them better handle stress, improve mood, allay anxiety and depression, and reduce the risk of disease.
The class is free, but online registration is requested. To register, go to www.eventbrite.com and search gut health.
