Friends and parishioners of Friendship Baptist Church on West 4th Street in Lewes celebrated the recent birthdays of the Rev. George Edwards and his wife Ardeth with a drive-by event held March 27. Rev. Edwards turned 87 on March 20, and Ardeth turned 85 on March 5.
The couple have been married for 65 years, and the Edwards have been part of Friendship Baptist Church for 64 of them.
