An eight-month investigation involving 11 agencies in Delaware and Maryland resulted in the arrest of 16 people after police say they found more than 800 grams of raw heroin worth over $1 million at several residences including Savannah East Apartments in Lewes.
Delaware State Police, Worcester County police, Maryland State Police and other agencies also found $11,000 in cash, two heroin processing kits, packaging material and two firearms.
Dubbed Operation Royal Flush, police used search warrants at Savannah East Apartments, the unit block of Mill Chase Circle Unit, Millsboro, 200 block of South Main Street, Colonial Gardens Apartments, Bridgeville, and at homes in Ocean Pines and Berlin, Md.
Police arrested Prince Gordon, 32, of Ocean Pines; Rodolfo Martinez, 35, of Bridgeville; Britney N. Curtis, 30, of Millsboro; Davon Tucker, 36, of Patterson, N.J.; Laricka C. Taylor, 33, of Millsboro; Chad M. Gibbs, 34, of Ellendale; Keshora L. Garrison, 36, of Millsboro; Ortherasa L. Clark, 56, of Millsboro; Marvin L. Newbill, 34, of Federalsburg, Md.; Courtney E. Hayward, 29, of Delmar; Darshon T. Adkins, 31, of Millsboro; Anthony M. Sturgis, 31, of Dagsboro; and Raymond E. Jackson Jr., 31, of Millsboro. All are facing drug and other charges.
Delaware State Police are still searching for Douglas D. Best Jr., 26, of Millsboro; Sylvester J. Weaver Jr., 39, of Millsboro; and Allen P. White, 33, of Milton.
