Eagles helmet raffle to benefit local groups

Tickets now on sale; drawing set March 16
January 18, 2019

A gift to the Kim & Evans Family Foundation will end up making one Philadelphia Eagles fan and two local organizations very happy. An autographed helmet signed by the 2018 Super Bowl champions is being raffled off for $5 per ticket, with proceeds from the raffle benefitting the community service club of The Jefferson School in Georgetown and the Kim & Evans Family Foundation based in Seaford.

“We saw the donation of the helmet as a wonderful opportunity to benefit not only our family foundation, but the amazing work of the community service club at The Jefferson School as well,” said foundation President Dr. Joseph Kim. “Community is an important piece of the philosophy of TJS and the mission of our foundation.”

Kim started the Kim & Evans Family Foundation with wife Nicole Evans in 2017 with a mission to better the lives of disadvantaged people and animals in Sussex County and beyond. Their eighth-grade daughter attends The Jefferson School and is involved in the community service club. Kim is also a TJS board member.

The full-size Super Bowl LII helmet features the autographs of more than 20 Eagles players including Carson Wentz, Nick Foles and Zach Ertz. A $5 donation via the Kim & Evans Family Foundation website earns one chance to win.

“So obviously the more generous you are, the better your chances of winning,” said Kim.

The drawing for the helmet will take place Saturday, March 16, at The Heart of Good Health community health fair in Laurel. Ticket holders need not be present to win. To purchase tickets, visit the Kim & Evans Family Foundation at kimandevansff.org.

Founded in 1991, The Jefferson School is a private, independent day school in Georgetown serving children in junior kindergarten through eighth grade. With a focus on experiential learning, TJS uses its 43-acre campus to create hands-on activities and unique educational opportunities. Small class sizes allow for more teacher-student interaction, reinforcing TJS values of curiosity, collaboration and creativity. For more information, visit jeffersonschool.com or call 302-856-3300.
