Mispillion Art League to host Big Draw Festival in October

The Mispillion Art League, Milford’s community art resource, will host the Big Draw Festival, a month-long event celebrating the creation of art.

The festival’s mission is to fill Milford with art and creativity through free, family-friendly activities throughout October. “This year, the league wants to make the festival even bigger and better than last year. We’re very mindful that we are all missing our usual spring activities, and we want to make sure our community has something uplifting to look forward to, because that is our mission as an arts organization,” said league President Mimi Galligan.

“Last year we had so many wonderful activities throughout the month, and it was all made possible through the generous support we received from Bayhealth Hospital, a leader in serving Milford,” said festival Chair Rosemary Connelly. “We are committed to making the festival interactive and inspiring this year, especially because of the current challenges we all face.”

Free, family-friendly events already scheduled include Recycling Is Art Too, Saturday, Oct. 3, and  Art Is Eco-friendly, Saturday, Oct. 17.
