Sussex Eye Center announced Bernard Murray II, OD, has joined the practice and is seeing patients at its Selbyville and Georgetown offices.
Murray provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, with a special focus on pediatric vision care.
During his training, Murray completed a pediatric optometry residency at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute, where he received advanced training in pediatric eye care, pediatric ocular disease, infant vision development and modern approaches to myopia (nearsightedness) management.
Children’s vision plays a critical role in learning and development. Many vision problems can begin early in life and may not always be obvious. Murray has specialized experience in evaluating and managing vision issues in infants, children and adolescents, helping ensure that young patients develop the visual skills they need for success in school and daily life.
In addition to routine pediatric eye exams, Murray provides advanced myopia management treatments designed to slow the progression of nearsightedness in children. He is a certified provider of two types of FDA-approved myopia management contact lenses.
Murray is also involved in clinical research as an investigator with the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group, contributing to national research efforts focused on improving care for children with eye and vision conditions.
