Family plays to conclude Aug. 23

August 15, 2018

Audiences have only a few more chances to enjoy this season's three classic, fun-filled plays of the Rehoboth Summer Children's Theatre. "Cinderella," "Aladdin" and "Androcles and the Lion" are currently rotating on the schedule through Thursday, Aug. 23. Performances are staged at 7 p.m., Tuesday, and 11 a.m., Wednesday and Thursday.

The clever, imaginative plays are performed by two actors bringing all the characters to life. Cinderella finds her lost slipper and Prince Charming finds his runaway love. Aladdin gets help from not one, but two, genies to trick a greedy sorceress and win the heart of a princess. In Aesop's familiar tale, Androcles pulls a thorn from the paw of a fierce lion and makes an unlikely friend for life.

These sparkling, one-hour shows are performed at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach. The church is just off Route 1 next to Tanger Seaside Outlets. There is plenty of free parking. Tickets are $10, and children under 3 are admitted free. For the complete schedule or to purchase tickets, go to www.rehobothchildrenstheatre.org or call 302-227-6766.
