Family Promise to host informational brunch April 1

March 19, 2023

Family Promise of Southern Delaware will host an informational brunch from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, April 1, at American Legion Post 28, Millsboro.

The guest speaker will be Craig Warrington, homeless liaison for the Cape Henlopen School District, offering an overview and update on the state of family homelessness in Delaware.

“The brunch is free, but donations will be accepted, and any money raised will directly benefit families in Sussex County,” said Carolyn Ames Kelly, LMSW, FPSDE executive director. “Since January 2022, Family Promise has been able to assist nearly 40 families in a variety of ways, from rent and utility bills to providing temporary shelter, gas and bus passes, etc. We have also been able to help with housing deposits for families in order to start a new life in a new home. We look forward to continuing to establish our Family Promise affiliate here in eastern Sussex County.”

Space is limited. To RSVP, call 302-278-0020.
