Farm bureau foundation 5K raises nutrition funds

Delaware Farm Bureau Foundation’s sixth annual 5K Milk Run/Walk took place May 11, with 69 runners and 31 walkers participating.
Proceeds of $10,000 were distributed to the Ministry of Caring’s Milk for Children Fund, and the Food Bank of Delaware for its backpack program, which provides nutrition for food-insecure children on days when federal school meal programs are not available.
Since its inception by the New Castle County Farm Bureau, the Milk Run has contributed nearly $73,000 to the Ministry of Caring.
