A few openings remain for Warrior Goddess Weekend May 18-20 in Lewes

March 7, 2018

A few openings are still available for an original event hosted by SUP Yoga Delaware: The Warrior Goddess Weekend is set Friday to Sunday, May 18 to 20, in Lewes.

Warrior Goddess Training is sweeping the nation. SUP Yoga Delaware owner Stacey Chandler has been inspired by author HeatherAsh Amara to host 10-week book clubs on the subject. “These gatherings with the most amazing women inspired by this book have been incredibly healing for me, and for the women I have shared it with. It's empowering and healing beyond measure. I am very excited to bring this full weekend of enlivening events to Lewes,” said Chandler.

For this event, Chandler chose female-owned businesses to be a part of the celebration. These women are strong influences on the growing community of Lewes. Christine Becker is owner of Hotel Rodney, the sponsoring hotel and conference center. Owners of participating restaurants are Meghan Lee of Heirloom, Sarah McKeown of Nectar Cafe and Becker of Blue Sea Cafe. Owners of alternative healing businesses that are participating are Julie Fisher of Gifted Alchemy, Mandie Stadler of Mandie’s Magical Marketplace and Marie Mayor of Lavender Fields at Warrington Manor.

The three-day event begins on Friday night with a Lewes Beach bonfire, prana vinyasa yoga, an earthing meditation while walking barefoot, and sound healing with drums and singing bowls performed by Fisher of Gifted Alchemy.

Saturday morning will begin with a healthy breakfast smoothie from Nectar Cafe, followed by an introductory SUP Yoga session in the calm waters of Lewes Bay, followed by a vinyasa yoga class. In the afternoon, attendees will experience Lavender Fields in Milton before returning to Nectar for happy hour. The evening will conclude with a personalized wine-paring dinner at  Heirloom restaurant.

Sunday will begin with gentle candle-lit yoga and meditation practice with doTERRA essential oil session. Attendees will then head over to the Blue Sea Cafe for brunch. Sunday afternoon will be open for participants to explore historic Lewes on their own, enjoy a day soaking in the sun, reserve a massage or shop at Mandie’s Magical Marketplace on the lower level of the Hotel Rodney.

Hotel accommodations can be made by attendees at the Hotel Rodney, 142 Second St., Lewes. To receive a 10 percent discount, mention the Warrior Goddess Weekend when making a reservation. To reserve a room, call 302-645-6466 or go to www.hotelrodneydelaware.com.
