The Rehoboth Beach Film Society will present “The Lehman Trilogy,” the story of a family and a company that changed the world, starting at 12 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Cinema Art Theater, 17701 Dartmouth Drive, Lewes.

Academy Award-winner Sam Mendes (“Skyfall,” “The Ferryman”) directs Simon Russell Beale, Adam Godley, and Ben Miles, who play the Lehman Brothers, their sons and grandsons.

On a cold September morning in 1844, a young man from Bavaria stands on a New York dockside dreaming of a new life in the new world. He is joined by his two brothers, and an American epic begins. The firm they establish, Lehman Brothers, spectacularly collapses into bankruptcy 163 years later and triggers the largest financial crisis in history.

National Theatre Live is a groundbreaking project that presents the best of British theater live from the London stage on film to cinemas across the United Kingdom and around the world.

The screenings will be at 12 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 25 and Monday, Jan. 27; and 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 28. Admission is $18 for RBFS members, $20 general admission and $15 for ages 15 and under. Customers are encouraged to purchase tickets online. Available tickets can be purchased at the theater 30 minutes before the screening.
