Fire burns former poultry house in Millsboro

A former poultry house burned Dec. 14 in Millsboro, resulting in $150,000 in damage.

The fire was reported about 8 a.m. in the 30000 block of Conaway Road, said John Galaska, chief deputy state fire marshal. Firefighters with the Millsboro Fire Co. responded to the scene to find smoke and fire coming the the chicken house that was being used for storage and not occupied. No one was injured in the blaze, which caused $150,000 in damage, Galaska said.

The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating to determine the origin and cause.
