A home in Lewes Crossing was severely damaged Oct. 6 by heavy fire.
Firefighters from Lewes, Rehoboth Beach and Milton responded to the house fire at 8:55 p.m. to find heavy fire from the back of the home, according to the Lewes Fire Department website.
Interior and exterior hoselines were used, and the fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes, followed by extensive overhaul. The home next door suffered exterior heat-related damage, but was otherwise not compromised. No injuries were reported.
