Five charged in Dagsboro drug bust

Five people face charges after a two-month investigation found drugs at a Dagsboro home.

Members of the Governor’s Task Force, Sussex Drug Unit and Special Operations Response Team went to a home in the 32000 block of Swamp Road Nov. 28 with a warrant in connection with the sale of illegal drugs, said Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe of the Delaware State Police.

During a search of the residence, police seized the following:

  • 135.36 grams of heroin in brick form
  • 1,646 bags of heroin bundled (11.522 grams)
  • .56 grams of powder cocaine
  • 2.75 grams of crack cocaine
  • 7.776 grams of marijuana
  • .410 New Haven model 273-bolt action shotgun
  • assorted ammunition
  • one suboxone strip
  • two fentanyl patches
  • dug paraphernalia
  • more than $1,200 in suspected drug proceeds

Police charged Antonio Satchell, 27, of Ocean View, Cornelies Briddel, 43, of Dagsboro, and Sarah Norris, 37, of Georgetown with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession heroin and other drug charges. Sean Johnson, 31, of Dagsboro was charged with possession of a firearm by person prohibited and other charges, and Gregory Johnson, 59, of Dagsboro was charged with maintaining a drug property.

All were arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3. Satchel, Briddel and Johnson were committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of secured bond; Satchel on $100,500, Briddel on $102,500 and Johnson on $2,250. Norris was committed to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in default of $51,000 secured bond and Johnson was released on $2,500 unsecured bond.
