Food bank drive-thru distribution rescheduled for Jan. 24

Due to the weather forecast for Sunday, Jan. 16, into Monday, Jan., 17, Monday's food distribution at Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown has been rescheduled.

The Food Bank of Delaware’s drive-thru mobile pantry distribution will now be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 24,  at Crossroad Community Church in Georgetown for families facing food insecurity. The Food Bank of Delaware requests that participants make sure their trunks or back seats are cleared out so volunteers can load food.

To help speed up the check-in process, preregistration is requested. On-site registration will also be available. Service will be first-come, first-served. Assistance is limited to one per household. Attendees must be present to receive assistance. The Food Bank of Delaware is prepared to serve up to 1,200 households. Recipients must bring proof that they live in Delaware. A state-issued ID, utility bill or Delaware SNAP benefits card can all be used to show proof of residency.
