Former mayor endorses Mills, Gossett, Lagree

July 31, 2020

The Rehoboth I know and love has its roots in the summer of ’41, my first here.  Since then I have seen elected officials come and go and, in fact, served among them.

I think it is time for the stability of Stan Mills.  I have found him to be dedicated and thoughtful, with nothing to gain but satisfaction from the office of mayor.  I have been consistently in agreement with him in the past, and expect that a return to open government and fiscal restraint will be key elements in his administration.  His small-town instincts are just what we need as we arrive at a big-city decision point in our history.

Stan’s new home on Third Street speaks for him. A stone’s throw from City Hall, it fits him, the neighborhood and city alike.  No swimming pool. Stan has apparently noticed the North Atlantic Ocean three blocks to the east.

I support Patrick Gossett and Jay Lagree also - along with Susan Gay, they can return us to the well-run, open, low-tax government I remember.
