Family and friends celebrated Frances Dennis’s 100th birthday July 20 at Harrison House in Georgetown. Frances was born July 22, 1918, and grew up near Bridgeville. She has lived in Delaware for her whole life.
Frances, a retired bookkeeper, has been an avid bridge player and loved to play golf, winning several tournaments with her late husband, Joe. She also loves to listen to big band music, play bingo and create lovely flower arrangements.
Georgetown Mayor William West declared July 22, 2018 as Frances Dennis Day.
