Frances M. Bunting, active in Little League
On Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, Frances M. Bunting, 78, of Lewes passed away peacefully at home after bravely battling Leukemia. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Richard Bunting Sr.
Frances is survived by her two sons, Richard Jr. and wife Nichole, and John and wife Stephanie; eight grandchildren, Alex, Charles, Allyssa, Amanda, Mitchell, Ashley, Tyler and Caela; and a great-grandson, Hayden. In addition to her family, she had a chocolate lab named Sam whom she loved and spoiled with treats.
Frances enjoyed sketching, painting, baking and decorating for the holidays. For several years she was active in Lewes Little League as a coach, umpire, concession stand worker, etc. She was a homemaker and was known by many names: Fran, Franny, Mom, Mom-Mom, Gigi and sometimes even Frantic Fran.
The funeral was held at Melson's Funeral Home, Millsboro, Monday, Sept. 25. Burial was held at Henlopen Memorial Park in Milton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
