Frantic Frets in Milton to hold anniversary reception May 12

May 8, 2019

Owners Al and Mary Knight invite the public  to attend the one-year anniversary reception of Frantic Frets Music Store and Antiques in Milton from 5 to 9 p.m., Sunday, May 12. Live music will be provided by The Girlfriends. Light fare will be served. Bring a folding chair to stay and enjoy the music.

Frantic Frets specializes in rehoming gently used musical instruments, amplifiers, and accessories; performing repairs; and dealing in vintage household items and antiques. The shop, which has doubled in size, also includes a dedicated workshop and classroom, and is the home of the beach guitar, an inexpensive guitar that plays well and can handle a little sand.

“What separates us from the other music stores is that you come here for an experience. This reopening soiree is our way of thanking everyone for making our first year such a success,” said co-owner Al Knight, who moonlights as Al Frantic the performer. He performs solo or with his bandmates, fellow Miltonian Mike Fletcher, and Lewes resident and former drummer for the Drifters, Steve Largent. They can be heard at many area venues including Dogfish Head, the Milton Theatre, and the Milton Historical Society.

Co-owner Mary Knight is also the new MHS director. “I feel like I have been here all my life, and I thank the wonderful people of Milton for welcoming us,” she said. “We love Milton, and historic Milton is the place to be!”

Frantic Frets is at 26370 Broadkill Road and is closed on Tuesdays. Call 302-302-3055.
