Free concert with Indian River Band in Lewes Aug. 29

August 22, 2019

The free Concerts by the Canal series completes its eighth season with a performance by the popular Indian River Band, formerly the Clifford Keith Band, at 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, in Lewes Canalfront Park.

Indian River plays a masterful blend of original songs and songs from its country, folk and Americana musical repertoire. Its first full-length, Nashville-recorded album, “Coastal Highway,” was released in summer 2018.

With members hailing from Sussex County, Indian River has amassed a loyal following. On the forefront of an emerging style of music called coastal country, the group's sound is influenced by the long, sandy Atlantic Ocean coastline and the local lifestyle.

The event is free and made possible through support of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and Friends of the Lewes Canalfront Park. Attendees may bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic suppers for this free family entertainment on the banks of the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal.
