October 31, 2019

Stacey Chandler, certified yoga and holistic practitioner, meditation teacher and owner of Shanti Shala Yoga Studio, will offer a free introductory class at 10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 18, at the Lewes Public Library.

“We are no strangers to anxiety. The mind is a time traveler, keeping us stuck in the past, or propelling us into worry, fear and anxiety about the future,” said Chandler.

Using holistic remedies, Chandler has recovered from depression and anxiety. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and the gifts she has received through yoga to help others who are suffering.

“If you’re serious about reducing anxiety, worry or the feeling of being overwhelmed while generating more joy, peace, and passion, this free workshop is for you,” she said.

Through yoga and breath work, Chandler will offer simple yet effective practices anyone can easily do at home to steady the nervous system, calm the mind and shift the body out of the stress response and into the relaxation response.

Shanti Shala is a studio dedicated to offering a sacred space where the healing roots of yoga are used to help with treatment of anxiety, depression and PTSD. Chandler uses yoga, meditation, Ayurveda and EFT to offer relief. Hunter the therapy dog is her constant companion and therapy assistant.

Registration is required. To reserve a space, go to www.lewes.lib.de.us, call the library at 302-645-2733. For more information, go to www.shantishala108.com.
