Freeman Stage announces additional artists for 2019 season

Artists include Tedeschi Trucks Band and Kool & The Gang

The Freeman Stage announced even more performances in its 2019 season March 26 at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats in Rehoboth Beach.

In addition to its Young Audience Series, the fundraising arts nonprofit revealed eight more performances in its 12th season, which now totals 66 events. Public tickets sales begin at 10 a.m. Monday, April 1, via www.freemanstage.org or by calling 302-436-3015.

The acts announced include Grammy Award-winning Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience June 28; Josh Turner June 30; Colbie Caillat featuring Gone West July 9; tribute act The Hit Men July 19; St. Paul & The Broken Bones July 28; John Butler Trio+ with Trevor Hall July 31; Kool & The Gang Aug. 4, and Tedeschi Trucks Band Aug. 22. In addition to Main Stage and Tribute series, 44 percent of this season’s lineup includes free performances, such as the Young Audience series, which is sponsored by the PNC Foundation, and include programming on Saturday mornings as well as a couple of weekdays throughout the summer.

As an arts nonprofit, The Freeman Stage is able to offer performances for all ages to enjoy with the support of local organizations, such as its Season Sponsors, who include Sarah Chase Carlson, Schell Brothers, NFP/The Meltzer Group, John J. Pohanka Family Foundation Trust.
