Freshly Squeezed to serenade Rehoboth Avenue Aug. 16

August 14, 2019

Rehoboth Beach Public Library’s Sunsets Live Music Series will continue at 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 16, with a special performance by local favorite Freshly Squeezed.

August’s Sunsets event will be a celebration of the Woodstock Music Festival of 1969, a watershed moment in pop culture and American history. Local vintage record store Extended Play will be on hand with a pop-up vinyl shop, and local brewers from Dogfish Head will offer beer for attendees age 21 and over. Freshly Squeezed members will present their take on some of the songs that defined the Woodstock era.

A $5 donation is suggested for admission, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

The series will continue at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 20, with a performance by modern blues band Hoochi Coochi, whose hand-clapping, soul-stirring style of indie blues has become popular all over Delaware since their inception in 2015.

The live music series will continue every third Friday of the month through November with performances on the second-floor balcony, weather permitting.
