Fun for the whole family at Coast Day

A chilly and windy afternoon Oct. 6 didn’t stop hundreds of people from attending the 2019 Coast Day at the University of Delaware’s College of Earth, Ocean and Environment in Lewes.
From touch tanks with young sharks and horseshoe crabs to fly fishing clinics and crab cake and chowder cooking competitions, the event had fun for the whole family. Dozens of tents featured activities and information about the work done by various state agencies and private organizations.
