Garret W. Northam, Walmart employee

Garret W. Northam, 45, of Rehoboth Beach, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021. He was born Wednesday, July 21, 1976, in Newark, son of Gerhard W. Northam and the late Linda “Lou” (Kline) Alestock.

Garret spent his younger years in Carneys Point and Lower Alloways Creek in New Jersey. He worked for Walmart in Rehoboth Beach, doing asset protection. Garret enjoyed watching movies and playing video games. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Garret is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa Michelle (Wright) Northam; his son, Garret Northam Jr.; his father, Gerhard (Gary) Wolfgang Northam (Irene); his stepfather, Richard W. Alestock (Norma); his sisters: Sherry Black (Ken) and Shawn Vazquez (Steven); his nephews and nieces: Kenny Black (Rachel) and Lindsey Black, Kaleb Vazquez, Greg Wood and Alisha Wood; his great-nephew, Karson Black; and his great-niece, Alicia Black.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 16, at The Glade Clubhouse, 21 Glade Farm Drive, Rehoboth Beach.
