We are at a critical point for Rehoboth Beach. Do we become the next Ocean City, or do we retain our residential character and scale? My wife and I may be old-fashioned, but we prefer the latter.
Susan Gay has demonstrated a very balanced and reflective approach relative to the issues facing Rehoboth. She has written extensively about balancing growth in the city, and keeping the emphasis on our scale and character, so that the residential and business communities thrive. As a member of the planning commission, she has gained valuable experience and knowledge of our codes and the Comprehensive Development Plan, which she has been involved in updating for 2020.
Throughout this year, Susan has been doggedly pursuing fair distribution of costs and services for all who use the city, and responsible use of taxpayer dollars. In addition, she is a tireless advocate for the environment, focusing on green infrastructure to improve stormwater management.
Because of her hard work, her careful consideration of the issues and her conviction to save the historic character of Rehoboth, we support Susan Gay, and urge you to vote for her Aug. 10.
