Geogetown man faces sixth DUI

A Georgetown man faces his sixth DUI charge Dec. 12 after police stopped him while driving on Oak Orchard Road.

Lance Q. Perry, 41, was driving a Nissan Altima at 12:12 a.m. northbound on Oak Orchard Road when a trooper stopped him for a traffic violation, said Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe of the Delaware State Police.

Police detected the smell of alcohol during the traffic stop and Perry was taken into custody. He was charged with a sixth offense of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while suspended or revoked, and failure to have two head lamps. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $7,001 cash bond.
