A Georgetown man faces charges after police say he broke into a Georgetown home March 13 and left with some items.
Police went to a home in the 24000 block of Lewes-Georgetown Highway about 1 p.m. after a man forced open a rear entry of the home, said Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe of the Delaware State Police. Once inside, she said, Dwayne Sudduth, 40, removed several items and fled the scene. Police used photos taken from inside the home for a description of Sudduth.
On March 18, Jaffe said police located Sudduth at a home in the 25000 block of Silver Oak Drive, Georgetown. Sudduth tried to flee on foot and then gave them a fake name, she said. Sudduth was eventually arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, theft under $1,500, criminal impersonation, resisting arrest and criminal mischief. Sudduth is a fugitive from another state, Jaffe said, and he was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on unspecified bond.
