A 37-year-old Georgetown man faces charges after a road rage incident Oct. 8, police say.
Carlton Breasure was driving a 2005 Chrysler Sebring at 7:10 p.m. when he turned northbound on Piglet Path in front of another vehicle stopped at the intersection with Seashore Highway, said Sr. Cpl. Jason Hatchell of the Delaware State Police.
Breasure got out of his car and began arguing with driver, a 60-year-old man, Hatchell said, and Breasure threatened the man with a shotgun.
The man fled the scene; police found Breasure at the scene and found a 12-gauge shotgun inside his car. The victim was not injured during the incident.
Police took Breasure into custody without incident and charged him with felony aggravated menacing, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, and other charges.
Breasure was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $239,600 cash bond.
