Georgetown traffic stop nets 22 pounds of marijuana

A New York man faces charges after police say they found 22 pounds of marijuana in his car following a traffic stop.

Thanh Nguyen, 49, of Brooklyn, was stopped about 9 p.m. March 12 on Route 113 near Trap Pond Road, said Detective Joey Melvin of the Georgetown Police Department.

During a search of the car, Melvin said, police found 22 pounds of marijuana and 300 THC vape pens. Nguyen was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and drug charges. He was arraigned and released on $40,260 unsecured bail.
